It is with my great enthusiasm to witness the launching of the Business Innovation Center (BIC). The Leadership at the Ministry of Research & Technology had conceived the idea and strongly believed that Indonesia needs it.
I could not agree more!
Indonesia, our country blessed with so much resources, is underperforming compared to her peers. Exploitation of her resources in many cases are over stretched and used in an un-sustainable manner, yet in other unexplored sectors, are under-utilized, if not, un-utilized.Indonesia needs tons of bright innovation ideas and clever executions, and it is of my greatest hope that the newly established BIC will be the new initiative addressing this issue. The Center's objective to provide 'a bridge' connecting ideas and execution needs to be applauded as it is somewhat different and the intended 'business like' attitude is a very much welcomed by the business world.
Pak Kris and the team at BIC, again, Congratulations and count on us for participating at the Center. Please start with ideas that have profound impact on the lives of thousand, if not, millions of the Indonesian people. Simple ideas that can be put to work with immediate results at the shortest time possible. Simple ideas that are indeed needed and useful. That's in my opinion is where BIC can play a role.
